New Customs Cooperation Fund from Germany

02 November 2020

The World Customs Organization and the Central Customs Authority of the Federal Republic of Germany concluded an agreement establishing a Customs Cooperation Fund (CCF-Germany) which is part of German Customs continued action to support the WCO in its efforts to provide assistance to its Members. CCF-Germany funds will be directed to support capacity building activities for member countries of the European Union, potential candidate countries and countries covered by the European Neighborhood Policy.

Activities funded by CCF-Germany will be implemented to encourage or support twinning projects of the European Union. The trainings of Customs officials, seminars, workshops and meetings at national, sub-regional or regional levels supported by this fund will focus on promoting trade facilitation, improving compliance and enforcement and enhancing Customs modernization.

The WCO would like to express its appreciation to the Central Customs Authority of the Federal Republic of Germany for its continuous collaboration and looks forward to continue delivering assistance to its Members under the new Customs Cooperation Fund from Germany.
