Revised ECP Action Plan for Phase V

The ECP Action Plan for Phase V covering the period from July 2020 to June 2022 was endorsed by the Policy Commission in December 2020.

The COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted cross-border trade and supply chains, which called for a collaborative approach for Customs in mitigating these effects. As the focus and priorities of Customs have shifted during the pandemic, a need has emerged for the WCO to prioritize its work and activities to support and respond to the needs of its Membership during this challenging period.

The Revised Action Plan, endorsed by the Policy Commission in June 2021, includes total 54 actions, 45 priority actions and 9 continuous activities outlined under the three WCO Strategic Processes and the two Learning and Development objectives of WCO’s Strategic Plan.

The following are some of the tools that will be developed under the Revised Action Plan for Phase V from July 2020 to June 2022:

  • Revised E-Commerce Package
  • Updated Study Report on Disruptive Technologies
  • Compendium on Maritime Passenger Clearance Processes
  • Guidance on Customs’ role in the collection of indirect taxes on imported goods.
