Theme 1A : Political Leadership – The Essential Ingredient
Political leadership on the counterfeit/piracy issue was identified as the most important recommendation in both Global and all Regional Congresses. Speakers will discuss how the counterfeiting and piracy issue is being addressed in their respective countries and the region.

Countries in others parts of the world have developed tools and programs to deal with
counterfeiting and piracy problems within their own borders and with their trading partners. Speakers will describe these tools and their experiences dealing with the issues.
