Fake Detection Workshop

 

Sports equipment manufacturers will give presentations about their new collections aimed at making it easier to distinguish between genuine and fake articles.

 

These presentations will be followed by presentations by representatives of Customs administrations focusing on early seizures, their characteristics, and the targeting criteria employed.Customs authorities who have already withheld clearance on goods that may have infringed intellectual property rights in relation to the 2006 World Cup Germany will describe the key features of these cases: origin, quantity, type of goods and the modus operandi of the fraud. The emphasis will be on the risk analysis criteria used to detect the suspect consignments.
