Counterfeit drugs jeopardise safety and pose a growing threat to public health and security, in addition to the loss of revenue that legitimate businesses and governments must bear. For these reasons, Customs administrations across the globe are committed to fighting this horrific illegal trade with all means at its disposal.

 

This conference, which is by invitation only, is aimed at mobilising support to develop a strategy to tackle the alarming growth in the trade in counterfeit medicines and will focus on coordinating international efforts to effectively and speedily combat counterfeiting activities throughout the world.

 

Leading pharmacy companies as well as international organisations such as INTERPOL, the World Health Organization and the World Intellectual Property Organization will take part in the event.
