The WCO Secretariat was informed, in accordance with paragraph 2 of Article 16 of the Harmonized System Convention, of an objection to the amendment to Article 8 of the Convention, set out in the Recommendation of the Customs Co-operation Council of 26 June 2009 concerning the amendment to Article 8 of the International Convention on the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System.
Consequently, the text of Article 8 of the International Convention on the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System will not be amended.
