Listen, learn and network with key leaders from the public sector, multilateral organisations and the business world at the World Customs Forum 2007. The World Customs Organization (WCO), in conjunction with the Trusted Trade Alliance, will host a two-day event at WCO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium from 11-12 December 2007 which will undertake a critical implementation review of the WCO SAFE Framework of Standards to secure and facilitate global trade.
Established in 1952 and representing 171 Member Customs administrations globally, the WCO is at the heart of international Customs initiatives including the development of critical instruments that impact on today’s trading environment. This conference provides the perfect opportunity for you to visit the WCO; the voice of the international Customs community and the centre of global Customs excellence.

|
Objectives: |
This important conference will bring together recognised experts in global trade, supply chain security and international trade law to review progress on the implementation of the SAFE Framework two years after its adoption with particular reference to the implementation of the AEO and mutual recognition concepts and their impact on business. Conference participants will get the most current information available on the EU’s AEO programme, the US C-TPAT programme, and the efforts of other countries to develop and implement similar programmes across the globe. Delegates will also be briefed on bilateral initiatives underway towards AEO and mutual recognition, and the obstacles that hinder speedier global implementation of these critical business benefits. | ||||
| Why will this event play a strategic role? | The US C-TPAT programme is now five years old, the EU AEO programme is in its early stages, and advance data initiatives are fast becoming mandatory requirements so the timing of this event could not be better given its importance to strategic planning and business model development. | ||||
