Overview

Join the global Customs community in Songdo for three days of practical discussions, demonstrations and collaboration on the data, technologies and people shaping the future of border management. Hosted by the Korea Customs Service, the 2027 WCO Technology Conference & Exhibition will bring together Customs administrations, industry and other partners to explore solutions to real operational challenges.

Under the theme “Trusted Data, Targeted Technology, Empowered People”, the 2027 Conference will examine how Customs can apply data, analytics and emerging technologies to operational priorities, establish the trusted data foundations needed to support their effective use, and empower people to turn innovation into measurable and sustainable results.

Each conference day will have a distinct emphasis. Day 1, “Targeted Technology”, will explore how Customs administrations can identify and apply the right technologies to address operational challenges, improve controls and facilitate legitimate trade. Day 2, “Trusted Data”, will explore how Customs administrations can build the foundations for effective data-driven operations by ensuring that data is reliable, timely, interoperable, appropriately governed, secure and protected. Day 3, “Empowered People”, will place human judgement and accountability at the centre and consider how insights can be translated into future action.

Through plenary and breakout sessions, individual spotlight interviews and Tech Talks, the Conference will emphasize practical use cases, implementation experience and measurable results, balancing technological innovation with operational feasibility and long-term sustainability.
