Highlights
The WCO's Annual Report summarizes the WCO's mission and current activities, and includes data on WCO Members.
The Illicit Trade Report, apart from the traditional areas of enforcement, also includes the areas of security (aimed at the analysis of seizures of weapons, ammunition, explosives and chemical precursors) and environmental protection.
Launched in 2019 and financed by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad) and Canada, the A-CIP Programme responds to the high costs of corruption in Customs and focuses on improving the environment for cross-border trade for beneficiary countries. Activities are guided by and are in line with the ten key factors of the WCO Revised Arusha Declaration concerning Good Governance and Integrity in Customs. The Programme promotes Integrity as a key crosscutting enabler that supports effective Customs administration and operations including RKC and TFA implementation and law enforcement.
The Mercator Programme, launched in June 2014, is the WCO’s flagship initiative supporting Members and governments worldwide to implement trade facilitation measures, particularly those associated to the World Trade Organization’s (WTO) Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA), expeditiously and in a harmonized manner by the application of WCO tools and instruments.
