Preparations for the upcoming 2012 WCO Capacity Building week are on their way!
Brussels, February 2012
The meetings will again gather together Customs senior executives and experts on HR and training from our WCO Members who are aiming for and driving reform and modernization processes within their administrations, representatives from other international organizations, donors as well as partners from the academic world and the private sector.
The CBC theme of “Agile and responsive Customs in the 21st Century through reform and modernization” will provide a lot of opportunities for substantial exchange of information and experience in this area that will hopefully lead to very tangible outcomes and perspectives for future Capacity Building activities. The draft CBC agenda is available here . Start of the Session is foreseen for 10:00am on 27 February, but please kindly note that registration and provision of access badges of participants who have arrived here in Brussels will take place already as of 09:00am.
The CBC Session will immediately be followed by the 11th Session of the ISC on 01-02 March. The draft ISC agenda is annexed to this article. Again please kindly note that registration for new arrivals will start at 09:00am on 01 March.
Theworking documents in preparation of the meetings have started to be placed on the WCO Members’ Web site – and will be sent to all registered participants also once more prior to the meeting.
Please do not forget to register on-line for both meetings as indicated in the invitations that have been sent to you! (Please note that registration for both meetings must be completed for each member of your delegation.)
Your active participation is of great value for us. Do not miss this opportunity to shape the future work and targets of the WCO Capacity Building agenda!
