Mexico and Hong Kong Sign Joint Action Plan Regarding Authorized Economic Operator

Following the Guidelines published by the World Customs Organization (WCO) regarding the development of Mutual Recognition Arrangements, Mexico and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People´s Republic of China, formalized a Joint Action Plan regarding the mutual recognition of their respective Authorized Economic Operator Programs seeking to endorse the commitment of increasing trade facilitation and enhance security within the logistic supply chain.

The Plan intends to achieve the signing of a Mutual Recognition Arrangement strengthening bonds of cooperation between regions and hopes to motivate other WCO members to initiate discussions on possible future negotiations on the matter.
