Within the framework of the WCO-WACAM Project financed by Sweden, a technical assistance session was held from 06 to 10 August 2018 at the Cape Verde Revenue Directorate (DNRE) Headquarters in Praia, Cape Verde, to work on the design of a Strategic Dashboard for DNRE.
In highly interactive sessions, the WCO introduced the current work on Performance Measurement, shared Members’ experiences and partner organizations’ best practices as an opportunity to understand international trends and adopt a management reporting system to assist in the decision-making process.
An Action Plan was defined to keep the track of future activities and follow-up on specific requirements, such as data extraction in view of the design of a Strategic Dashboard for the administration. The Director-General of DNRE, Ms. Liza Helena Vaz, stressed her continued support in ensuring that management continued to work on this important project as a path towards the development of monitoring mechanisms to facilitate informed decisions.
The mission was a valuable opportunity for DNRE to discuss and improve the use of strategic management as a means of reforming and modernizing the DNRE.
