The World Customs Organization (WCO) delivered a support mission to the newly established WCO Regional Training Center (RTC) in Bishkek, and conducted a diagnostic analysis of the current situation in the area of training and human resources management of Kyrgyz Customs, from 17 to 19 June 2019.
The main objective of this mission was to carry out a diagnosis of the current state of the training and HRM system and to review the extent to which it aligns with existing international best practices, identify gaps, determine priorities and recommendations for the way forward.
During the mission, WCO experts worked closely with RTC team and HRM Department in Bishkek. They reviewed related documents and held meetings with officials responsible for the training and HRM system.
A diagnostic report with the recommendations and action plan on the way forward has been elaborated and submitted to State Customs Service under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.
