A national Coordinated Border Management Dialogue with the Private Sector in Peru

Within the framework of the SECO-WCO Global Trade Facilitation Programme (GTFP) and under the auspices of the WCO Mercator Programme, a Coordinated Border Management (CBM)  Dialogue was held on 24 November 2021, between the Customs Administration of Peru and Private Sector representatives from Puno, Peru.

This activity comes as a complement to the recent follow-up mission conducted with the Peruvian Border agencies, between 8 and 11 November 2021, with the aim to engage in an open dialogue with Customs Brokers, Carriers, Traders and Warehouses from Peru, to identify their needs and areas of opportunity, both which should be taken into consideration on the implementation of the GTFP CBM work plan in Peru.

Furthermore, during this Dialogue national capacities on WCO CBM Compendium were developed among the different participants from Local Customs Offices, other border agencies and relevant stakeholders from the Private Sector.
