WCO Members are reporting high benefits from the Integrity e-learning module online, now available in new languages

21 July 2021

The new integrity e-learning module on the WCO’s CLiKC! e-learning platform which came online in English and French at the end of last year is now also available in Portuguese, Arabic, Spanish and Russian on the WCO ClicK! e-learning platform.

The module was developed with funding from the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad) by the WCO Anti-Corruption and Integrity Promotion (A-CIP) Programme team in an extensive collaborative effort with WCO Member Experts from all six WCO regions, WCO Private Sector Consultative Group and the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA).

The module aims to sensitize learners to the importance of Integrity in Customs environment and the use of WCO’s integrity development tools and instruments, including the WCO Revised Arusha Declaration as a key instrument in promoting integrity within Customs administrations. As of 30th June 2021, nearly two thousand individuals have completed the course, the overwhelming majority of which (>90%) reported the benefit obtained from the course was “high” or “very high”.

In the coming year, the WCO A-CIP Programme intends to further develop a tutored course around this e-learning that provides a practical framework to examine the integrity strategies currently in place and to identify opportunities for further improvement.
