The six-week training course for Pakistan Customs held under the CECAC (Customs Enforcement Curriculum for Assistant Collectors) Project came to an end on Friday 25 February 2022 with a ceremony in Karachi, Pakistan. This training is a major component of an ambitious programme and follows on from a number of activities that took place during 2020 and 2021, namely a two-week pilot training course, an institutional assessment mission and a train-the-trainer session. Around 20 young officers of the project’s beneficiary, Pakistan Customs, attended the course.

Founded in 1963, the MSC has become a major security forum organized on an annual basis. This year, more than 100 ministers and over 30 heads of state and government, as well as heads of international organizations attended the MSC in person.

The World Customs Organization (WCO) has joined hands, once again, with partner Annex D+ organizations (GATF, ITC, OECD, UNECE, UNESCAP, WBG and WTO) in supporting the Global Forum 2022 for National Trade Facilitation Committees (NTFCs). The Forum is being held from 1 to 4 February 2022 in a virtual mode and led by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). It has brought together more than 500 participants, around half of which are members of their NTFCs.
