WCO contributions at World Economic Forum 2023

At the invitation of the World Economic Forum, Dr. Kunio Mikuriya, Secretary General of the World Customs Organization (WCO), attended its Annual Meeting from 16 to 20 January 2023 under the theme "Cooperation in a fragmented World".

Dr. Mikuriya contributed to several meetings including the "Busting Business Barriers",  in support of eliminating bureaucratic red tape and harnessing technology to remove frictions and boost the efficiency of trade and cross-border investment.

He also met many leaders in governments, international organizations and business to explore Customs contributions and collaborations in improving the state of the world.
