Zimbabwe marks a new journey leveraging the WCO CLIKC! tenant solution

26 September 2024

On Wednesday, 11 September 2024, the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) achieved a significant milestone in its journey to professionalize its staff when it launched an innovative approach to leverage the WCO CLIKC! tenant solution, with a dedicated learning space on the platform exclusively accessible to officers from the Administration. To commemorate the milestone event, the WCO Secretary General, Mr. Ian Saunders, conveyed a recorded video message to congratulate the Commissioner General and staff of ZIMRA.  He emphasized that by creating this learning management system, ZIMRA was creating a path to success for aspiring and current public servants through a shared vision with the WCO to transform modern online training.

The CLiKC! tenant solution is not just a new feature but a game-changer that represents a vital stepping-stone to support Members’ efforts to pursue online capacity building and increased access to the WCO distance learning offer. This ZIMRA initiative is the first time the WCO has set up a tenant solution on CLiKC! for a Member Administration.

With this solution, ZIMRA is able to offer customized online training to its Officers on CLiKC! without the need to host and maintain its own learning management system.  The tenant solution is designed to enhance learning experiences, making them more engaging, accessible, and effective. It represents a significant step forward in the journey to support continuous learning and professional growth in WCO Member Administrations. This achievement will also boost Zimbabwe’s role as host of a WCO Regional Training Centre.

This new tool for online training is the pilot product of a collaborative effort between ZIMRA, the WCO E-Learning Team, and the Sida-WCO TFCM Programme with funding from the government of Sweden. It is a testament to the relevance of engaging traditional and new partners with purpose.
