WCO Hosts Successful Introductory Sessions on New Integrity Training Kits

10 April 2025

Following the release of two new integrity training kits developed under the WCO Anti-Corruption and Integrity Promotion (A-CIP) Programme, the World Customs Organization (WCO) hosted two live remote introductory sessions to present these new resources to its Members.

Held separately in French and English, the sessions attracted over 150 participants from Customs administrations from the European, Africa, Middle East and Asia regions — reflecting the global interest in strengthening integrity in the Customs environment. The Americas region will be engaged with shortly for a separate presentation on the topic.

Participants received a comprehensive overview of the training kits and their practical application. The sessions featured lively Q&A segments, where attendees actively engaged with the material and shared their perspectives. This high level of interaction is a strong testament to the relevance of the topic and the commitment of WCO Members to advance integrity within their organizations.

While the training kits are currently available in French and English only, the WCO encourages interested Members to reach out should they wish to support or fund translations into additional languages. Ensuring accessibility to these resources across all regions is a key priority for the WCO and the A-CIP Programme.

The WCO A-CIP Programme, funded by Norway, is a comprehensive initiative that provides technical assistance and capacity-building support to WCO Member administrations implementing integrity-related initiatives in line with the WCO Revised Arusha Declaration. The Programme aims to enhance the integrity and transparency of Customs operations and promote anti-corruption efforts. For more information, please contact capacity.building@wcoomd.org.
