WCO Technology Conference dedicates its day 2 to Tech talks focusing on innovation in Customs

  • Devoted to “Trade Facilitation through Digital Pathways,” this second day of the WCO Technology Conference 2026 in Abu Dhabi saw participants exploring practical developments in Single Window and other digital platforms, trusted digital ecosystems enabling the reuse of data across supply chains, and the role of technology in strengthening the sustainability agenda through data-driven approaches to more resilient and sustainable supply chains.
  • The packed agenda on day 2 featured three plenary sessions with high-level panel discussions and some sixteen tech talks, where private sector companies explained their latest solutions to respond to challenges faced by Customs in their enforcement and facilitation missions. Tech Talks offer participants the opportunity to take a closer look at some of the technological innovations that have the potential to shape the work of Customs.
  • Furthermore, in the afternoon, some break-out sessions covered key topics such as: NII systems interoperability through the WCO Unified File Format (UFF) 3.0, accelerating cross-border data exchange through the WCO Data Model, the use of AI and automation in inspection workflows and the growing use of low-code and no-code tools, IoT-enabled smart seals for cargo control and cyber-secure trade corridors.
