  • The Capacity Building Strategy

    A revised Capacity Building Strategy was endorsed by the Capacity Building Committee (CBC) in March 2020 subject to improvements to its Implementation Plan to reflect suggestions by delegates. A revised version of the Implementation Plan continues to be developed. The updated document will be presented and further discussed at the CBC in February 2020. It is envisaged that the new Capacity Building Strategy will be submitted to the WCO Policy Commission in June 2021 for final endorsement.

  • Capacity Building Regional Approach

    The WCO Secretariat has devoted a great deal of attention to improving the quality, relevance and availability of its capacity building activities which led to the development of the WCO Capacity Building Strategy. A core aspect of this Strategy involves the “Regional” approach, the objective of which is to promote the sharing among neighbouring countries of ideas and actions to achieve the same regional objectives, namely, economic growth and social development.
