The INN Table is an Excel spreadsheet that contains the HS classification of INNs (International Nonproprietary Names*) decided by the Harmonized System Committee (HSC). It constitutes a reference published by the WCO Secretariat for the purpose of facilitating the classification of these products.
The INN Table has no legal or official status. The amendments to the HS Nomenclature may have affected decisions taken under an earlier edition.
The INN Table will be updated regularly with the HS classification of INNs adopted by the HSC at its forthcoming Sessions.
- International Nonproprietary Names (INN) facilitate the identification of pharmaceutical substances or active pharmaceutical ingredients. Each INN is a unique name that is globally recognized and is public property. A nonproprietary name is also known as a generic name.
