Korea’s Deputy Minister of Finance, Mr. Joo Hyung Hwan, expressed his appreciation for the WCO’s programmes and pledged continued financial contributions to the Korean Development Fund in support of WCO capacity building activities during a meeting with WCO Secretary General Mikuriya in Seoul, Korea on 7 October 2014.
Korea is also committed to sharing its experiences with the international Customs community in a range of areas, including trade facilitation, and values the WCO's efforts to work together with other relevant international organizations.
Secretary General Mikuriya thanked the Deputy Minister for the financial and human resources support provided by the Korean Ministry of Strategy and Finance.
