A workshop on Transfer Pricing and Customs Valuation was held in Ankara Multilateral Tax Centre in the Republic of Turkey from Monday 19 to Friday 23 September 2016.

34 participants from Tax and Customs Administrations of fifteen countries from the North of Africa, near and Middle East and Europe regions attended the workshop which was facilitated by experts from WCO, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development and Turkish Tax Administration. The workshop was conducted in English with translation in Russian and Turkish languages.

In this workshop, Tax officials learnt the Customs Valuation rules and methodologies and likewise Customs officials learnt Transfer Pricing rules. In addition, participants were made aware of the relationship between Customs Valuation and Transfer Pricing. The workshop provided a forum for Customs and Tax officials to meet, interact and share their national practices. Participants agreed that cooperation between the two administrations should be reinforced to facilitate closer working in this area.
