On 27 June 2019 during the annual WCO Council sessions, Vice-Minister of China Customs Mr. Wang Lingjun and WCO Secretary General Dr. Kunio Mikuriya signed a renewed Grant Agreement for the China Customs Cooperation Fund (CCF-China). Under this Agreement, the Government of the People’s Republic of China has pledged a total amount of 5 million euro over five years to support WCO Customs Capacity Building activities for the Organization’s developing and least-developed Members.
Secretary General Mikuriya welcomed this renewed donor funding which would contribute significantly to providing Capacity Building assistance to WCO Members to help them meet the challenges they faced in the rapidly evolving Customs environment, particularly in the areas of trade facilitation, improving compliance and enforcement, and enhancing Customs modernization.
