The 22nd Meeting of the Regional Intelligence Liaison Office (RILO) Western Europe (WE) National Contact Points (NCP) was held at WCO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium on 1 and 2 October 2019. The Meeting brought together Member administrations of the WE region to discuss and decide on the annual work of the RILO WE and the region’s NCPs.
The WCO highlighted the importance of the Global RILO Network for strengthening Customs cooperation worldwide. Each Member administration plays a vital role in making this network more effective and successful.
Representatives of the WCO Secretariat gave the participants an in-depth presentation on the latest developments with the Customs Enforcement Network (CEN) suite and the Information and Intelligence Centre (I2C) IRIS application.
This year’s Meeting focused on drafting an Operating Procedures document to ensure efficiency and consistency between the RILO WE and Member administrations.
