From 1 to 4 February 2021, as part of the overall assistance on Strategic Planning delivered to the Customs Administration of Bolivia (AN) through the SECO-WCO Global Trade Facilitation Programme (GTFP), the WCO, under the auspices of Mercator Programme, organized a virtual follow-up national workshop in Strategic Planning for the AN.
The primary purpose of this activity was to monitor the development of the AN’s new multi-year strategic plan, which has been identified as a key area of support and addressed during previous Strategic Planning assistance activities.
Through this fruitful assistance, AN officers and the WCO experts reviewed the progress made of the previously established roadmap. Also, during these sessions WCO Experts reviewed the draft of the multi-year action plan, and identified final touches required for its approval. In that sense, additional support was also requested for the adjustment of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in line with Bolivia’s national development plan.
