Dubai Customs organizes a workshop on national service

Dubai, UAE, 14th February 2017: "The impact of national service on sustaining security in the UAE" was the title of the 2-day workshop inaugurated by Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs and organized by Customs Training Center at Dubai Customs on 7th and 8th February.

The workshop was organized in cooperation with the National Service Authority and targeted Dubai Customs employees who already finished their national service and the prospective ones. It was presented by Brigadier-General Hamad Al Kaabi, National Service Advisor. 

The workshop covered the role of the national service in sustaining the country’s security and stability. It also raised awareness amongst participants around the social, economic, political, and security goals of the national service, and how to join it.

In his opening speech, Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs explained the importance of this type of workshop.

“The world is witnessing more turbulences and challenges, and the state of instability necessitates more preparedness. Those who join the national service are the defenders of this country and the protectors of its assets. It’s a translation of all values of love and loyalty to the UAE” Musabih added.

The workshop, the first of its kind at the level of government departments, was attended by Abdullah Mohammed Al Khaja, Executive Director of Clients Management Division and a number of senior managers
