The WCO organized the global Accreditation Workshop for Post-Clearance Audit (PCA) Technical and Operational Advisors at its Headquarters from 15 to 19 May 2017.

The event, which catered specifically for French speakers, was held under the sponsorship of the Customs Cooperation Fund of Japan (CCF/Japan).

Thirteen pre-selected Customs officers were invited to demonstrate their abilities and skills in the domain of PCA.

Taking into consideration the growing needs for PCA capacity building activities, especially for French speakers, the identification and development of experts who can support the WCO in performing these tasks is crucial.

Experts who meet the criteria may expect to be called upon to fulfill their duties in the near future when requests for PCA training from French-speaking WCO Members are received.

During the five-day intensive workshop, participants demonstrated their excellent knowledge and advisory skills through presentations, facilitation exercises and role-playing sessions.

At the conclusion of the workshop, participants pledged to remain connected to ensure future cooperation and collaboration.
