During a mission which took place in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, from 9 to 13 October 2017, some 15 managers and trainers from the National Customs School and the IT Directorate participated in a workshop on the use of distance learning in staff training activities.
In addition to the technical aspects of using the training management software installed in the National Customs School, participants were able to tackle the organization of training courses including distance learning, and the design and management of online training.
As well as using the catalogue of WCO e-learning modules nationally to train staff, the Côte d'Ivoire Administration is planning to put its own training materials online, with the aim of personalizing and rounding out the WCO courses and tailoring them to local needs, and developing the use of blended learning.
