Ukraine has become the sixth fully-fledged beneficiary country of the SECO-WCO Global Trade Facilitation Programme (GTFP). The State Customs Service of Ukraine welcomed the GTFP Programme Management Team during virtual sessions from 28th-30th October 2020, to endorse the Programme and discuss its participation moving forward.
The GTFP Team also met with all relevant stakeholders, including other national agencies and private sector associations. All have expressed their appreciation to the WCO and State Secretariat for Economic Affairs for this initiative, reiterating their interest, commitment and support to the Programme which, under the auspices of the WCO Mercator Programme, will significantly support the implementation of the strategic goals and priorities of the State Customs Service of Ukraine.
Additional assessments will follow in early 2021 to identify the main areas of support and to develop a 2-year work plan comprising trade facilitation and organizational development activities to be implemented.
