From 5 to 9 July 2021, as part of the SECO-WCO Global Trade Facilitation Programme (GTFP) and under the auspices of the WCO Mercator Programme, a Virtual Study Mission was held between the Customs Administration of Bolivia (ANB) and the Customs Administration of Uruguay.
This mission’s particular objective was to provide technical assistance to the ANB officers in charge of the strengthening of the risk management structure in Bolivia, based on Uruguay’s experience on risk analysis.
This five-day mission allowed the Uruguayan officers to assist their Bolivian counterparts with the aim to strengthen their risk management capacities, both through the exchange of experiences and through studying Uruguay’s best practices regarding their risk management structure, systems and practices.
Results of this fruitful exchange include strengthened risk management capacities within the ANB and areas of opportunity on the current procedures undertaken by the ANB have also been identified.
