From 8-11 March 2021, the WCO conducted a remote assistance mission on Strategic Planning for the Customs Administration of Colombia (DIAN), organized within the framework of the SECO-WCO Global Trade Facilitation Programme (GTFP) and under the auspices of the WCO Mercator Programme.
This online workshop follows up on the strategic planning assistance initiated in Colombia in February 2020, where the GTFP supported on the development of 21 key performance indicators (KPIs) and a strategic control panel for DIAN. During this technical assistance, the GTFP provided support to the institutional transformation process and management efficiency improvement, maderecommendations to optimize organizational performance measurement and introduced the project-based management concept.
With this activity, support on building the capacity of the relevant Customs officers of DIAN on developing KPIs within the GTFP is successfully completed, securing a sustainable process of strategic performance measurement within the Customs Administration.
