A fruitful PCA Remote Technical Assistance in Uzbekistan

04 мая 2021

From 20-21 April 2021, the World Customs Organization (WCO) delivered a two-day virtual remote technical assistance in Post-Clearance Audit (PCA) for the State Customs Committee (SCC) of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in the framework of the SECO-WCO Global Trade Facilitation Programme (GTFP).

This first assistance mission was organised as part of the GTFP’s multi-year activities programme in Uzbekistan, for the 2021-2022 period. This set of activities, conducted under the auspices of the Mercator Programme, has been approved by the SCC earlier this year and this mission aimed at strengthening the SCC’s capacities on WCO PCA concept, and ultimately supporting the implementation of PCA procedures in Uzbekistan. In addition, during this workshop, the WCO team revised and provided recommendations to the SCC on the draft documents establishing the national PCA framework.

At the end of this two-day productive workshop, the WCO team and the representatives of the SCC identified the next steps needed to successfully implement PCA in Uzbekistan.
