From 17 to 19 June 2022, as part of the SECO-WCO Global Trade Facilitation Programme (GTFP) work plan on Strategic Planning in Colombia, the WCO held a National Workshop on Advanced practices for Strategic Planning and Project Management for the Tax and Customs Administration of Colombia (DIAN).
This workshop focused on strengthening institutional capacities with respect to Strategic Planning, Project Management and effective coordination tools for the implementation of transformation projects.
As a result of this intervention, the GTFP achieved to further enhance capacities of DIAN on strategic planning and project management and successfully transferred methodologies to establish management strategies for Customs reform and modernization processes. Ultimately, by the end of this Workshop, DIAN managed to draft and implementation plan for a results-based management system for Customs, a model for the Customs of the future with 3 flagship projects and methodologies for disruptive planning and facilitation of meetings.
