The World Customs Organization (WCO) organized, with the support of Customs Cooperation Fund Korea, a national workshop on Customs valuation for the Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Bosnia and Herezegovina currently has observer status at the World Trade Organization and is preparing to implement the Customs Valuation Agreement (CVA). This workshop provided participants the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the provisions of the CVA.
Two WCO accredited expert trainers on Customs Valuation from Bosnian and Herzegovinan and Latvian Customs contributed in facilitating this national workshop. The workshop was delivered in hybrid format at ITA’s headquarters in Banja Luka.
Forty eight Customs officials from various operational structures of headquarters and regional Customs offices of ITA benefited from the workshop. The programme covered a range of topics including the transaction value method, the alternative valuation methods and the other provisions of the CVA.
Participants interacted with the facilitators regarding implementation practice, valuation control and other related instruments.
