An Anti-corruption workshop under the joint Global Container Control Program (CCP) of the WCO and the UN Office on Drugs and Crime was held on May 25, 2023, in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The workshop objectives were to review international experience in promoting Integrity, the effectiveness of anti-corruption tools, and ways of cooperation between the countries participating in the programme.
During the workshop, the participants were updated on the WCO A-CIP Programme, the BACUDA analytical platform, training in Customs control measures using Virtual Reality and CLiKC!, the progress in developing the Platform for Performance Measurement Mechanisms (PMM), among others. The WCO representative Zh. Inkerbayev called for active participation in these programs, as well as in the joint combat against corruption.
The workshop was a success thanks to the active participation and contributions of the participants, with the latter enriching their knowledge in promoting Integrity. Participants expressed their gratitude to the WCO and its experts for sharing valuable knowledge and information in the field of Integrity to assist them in their further anti-corruption efforts.
