From 25 to 27 April 2023, the SECO-WCO Global Trade Facilitation Programme (GTFP) facilitated a virtual study visit of the Peruvian Customs Administration (SUNAT) to Abu Dhabi Customs, aiming to enhance bilateral cooperation while benefitting from Abu Dhabi’s experience in redefining Human Resources Management (HRM) based on new competencies required in a highly automated environment.
During this 3-day visit, Abu Dhabi Customs shared best practices on HRM transformation, digital transformation indicators, performance management, quality control and sustainability. This allowed SUNAT to benchmark their current practices and build a roadmap for strengthening its HRM.
The activity was attended by 10 Customs officials, who actively participated during the sessions and gained knowledge of the transformation journey initiated by the World-Class Customs Authority of Abu Dhabi.
