At the invitation of Mr. Vladimir Goshin, Minister for Customs Cooperation for the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), WCO Deputy Secretary General Sergio Mujica attended an international conference on “Efficiency and safety of supply chains : from Lisbon to Vladivostok”, held in Moscow on 8 September.
The Deputy Secretary General delivered a keynote speech addressing public and private sector leaders from Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. He explained the opportunities and challenges in achieving effective regional economic integration, highlighting the key role played by Customs in contributing to this goal, including in the areas of transit, trusted trader schemes and inter-operability of Single Window systems.
