The Harmonized System (HS) is an international nomenclature established by the World Customs Organization (WCO) and used by over 200 Customs administrations as a basis for their Customs tariffs and for the collection of trade statistics. The HS Convention currently has 153 Contracting Parties, making it the WCO’s most successful instrument to date.
The 2017 Edition of the HS Nomenclature, which will enter into force on 1 January 2017, is now available at the WCO Online Bookshop. The Explanatory Notes to the HS Nomenclature 2017 Edition will be published in early August after the 2016 Council sessions in July this year. To encourage the widest possible distribution of texts related to the Sixth Edition (2017) of the HS, the prices for the printed edition of these publications remain unchanged, as has been the case since 2006.
