The WCO supports Liberia Revenue Authority to build their capacity to “engage” with key Stakeholders.

07 三月 2016

The WCO continues to provide capacity building support to the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) to assist them with the implementation of new performance measurement systems. The latest event which was held from 22-26 February was supported by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD) under the project "Customs Capacity Building for WCO Members 2012-2017." The WCO NORAD project aims at delivering technical assistance to seven countries: Timor-Leste, Liberia, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Rwanda, Tanzania and Vietnam.

The WCO designed and delivered a workshop on Stakeholder Engagement to assist members of the LRA Performance Measurement (PM) Project Team and colleagues from operational work areas to develop their capacities to engage with stakeholders. The workshop utilized materials developed by the WCO WACAM project to assist the group to work through a structured step-by-step process for the identification and engagement of stakeholders. All of the work sessions were highly interactive and provided an excellent opportunity to discuss the future design and structure of the LRA’s Stakeholder Engagement programme.
