This year promises to be a blockbuster Capacity Building Week with many great topics and speakers!
The 9th Session of the WCO Capacity Building Committee (CBC) will be held in Brussels from 26 to 28 February 2018 with the theme “Smart Customs: The Gateway to High Performance and Sustainability”.
The keynote address and first session will set the tone for the meeting by introducing the theme which focuses on how digitalization and data collection tools can enable “smart Customs” for effective performance measurement and management.
The CBC will be followed immediately by the 17th Session of the Integrity Sub-Committee, to be held on 1 and 2 March 2018 under the topic “Security and Integrity: Curbing Threats, Leveraging Opportunities”.
The meetings are open to delegates from Customs administrations, such as Directors General, officials responsible for and specialized in capacity building (particularly organizational development managers), strategy developers, change managers and heads of personnel. Representatives of international and regional governmental organizations, development agencies and academia are also most welcome to attend.
Registration can be done through this website (“meeting” tab). Those interested in attending the meeting but not having the required access code to register through the website can contact the Capacity Building Directorate (capacity.building@wcoomd.org).
