22 十一月 2018

WCO has delivered a four day National Workshop on Strategic Trade Control Enforcement (STCE) in Astana from 5th to 8th November. It was twenty-fifth national STCE Workshop delivered by WCO since 2016, and attended by 44 front line and supervisory officers of Kazakhstan Customs working in Export Control Division and other field offices.  The Workshop was formally opened by Mr. Anuar Madiyev, Head of Export Control Department, State Revenue Committee. In his opening remarks Mr. Madiyev highlighted the role of capacity building for effective border management by Customs.

During Workshop the participants were introduced to the concepts and principles related to STCE, familiarized with the dual use commodities and were also provided opportunities to undertake practical exercises and group discussions. Besides WCO staff, two STCE pre-accredited trainers each from Kazakhstan and Norway supported the workshop by delivering curriculum and earned accreditation as expert trainers.

STCE Programme is aimed at supporting Member administrations to adopt a sustainable STCE training mechanism at national level for continuous capacity building of front line officers. The programme is committed to deliver more workshops in future in Brussels and across the WCO regions.
