Jordan Customs Department holds a virtual training workshop on "Promoting Integrity through Stakeholder Engagement"

06 十月 2021

On 27 and 29 September 2021, a virtual training workshop on Promoting Integrity through Stakeholder Engagement was organized by the WCO Anti-Corruption & Integrity Promotion (A-CIP) Programme in response to specific needs identified by Jordan Customs Department (JCD).

The workshop was constructed around tailored-made work assignments which serve as a foundation for the two virtual training workshops.

Senior officials from different key functions, having an impact or influence on building and maintaining constructive relationships with stakeholders, attended the event facilitated by WCO A-CIP Programme.

The training materials, homework assignments and sharing of experience allowed the participants to assess and/or reassess their relationships with key stakeholders, to consider avenues on how to engage successfully with the private sector in relation with the Customs Integrity Perception Survey (CIPS) results and to identify ways to actively involve their business community in the collective fight against corruption.

During their closing remarks, JCD reiterated their ongoing commitment to reinforce their relationship with key stakeholders, in particular with the private sector. This constructive and productive relationship is paramount to create a favorable and compliant business environment as well as to implement common solutions to combat corruption and promote integrity.

The WCO A-CIP Programme reaffirmed their ongoing support to JCD, with the funding support of Norad.
