From 12 to 16 December 2022, within the SECO-WCO Global Trade Facilitation Programme (GTFP) framework, the WCO delivered a 5-day Risk Management Workshop for the Customs Administration of Bolivia (Aduana Nacional de Bolivia – ANB).

The workshop aimed at reviewing the progress in the implementation of the Risk Management strategy and best practices by the ANB as a result of the assistance provided by the WCO and to provide further recommendations to ensure the sustainable development of risk management in Bolivia.

Based on the outcomes of the practical exercises and active discussions, the experts examined progress on risk management and provided recommendations and next steps to enhance the capacities of the Customs officials.

The Customs Administration of Bolivia is highly engaged in aligning its Risk Management objectives and framework based on the WCO compendium, and the SECO-WCO Global Trade Facilitation Programme (GTFP) will continue supporting Bolivia as one of the beneficiary countries of the Programme, with funding from the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
