Under the framework of the EU-WCO Rules of Origin Africa Programme, funded by the European Union, the World Customs Organization (WCO) in partnership with Ethiopian Customs Commission (ECC) held a national training workshop on rules of origin in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 6 to 10 March 2023 with the participation of Customs officials from different branches and regional stations within the Ethiopian Customs Commission and officials from the Chamber of Commerce. The objective of the workshop was to assist ECC in enhancing its knowledge on preferential rules of origin and its ability to understand and use the rules related to origin especially in view of the implementation of African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) Rules of Origin.
