The Guideline has been developed by the WCO Global Information and Intelligence Strategy (GIIS) Working Group to facilitate referrals from industry. Created through a collaboration between WCO Members and the shipping industry, the document aims to standardize how suspicious activity referrals are handled. This will help remove risks and vulnerabilities from our supply chain.
This work aligns with the Council Resolution on Strengthening Customs-Industry Resilience, adopted in June 2024, which addresses the growing need for collaboration between Customs administrations and industry partners to ensure global security and economic stability.
